All eleven episodes of the 1970s drama starring Jack Shepherd in the titular role. When a former lecturer is elected to Parliament, he attempts to use his status to help the lives of his constituents in Leighley. As he struggles with problems in his personal life, he also faces difficult issues at work and begins to question his loyalty to the Labour Government.
