Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery

These Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery apply to items purchased at iMusic.dk.

The agreements are entered into in Danish, English, German, Norwegian, and Swedish. The right of cancellation only applies to private consumers who shop at iMusic.dk. Unless otherwise agreed, commercial and government institutions are not entitled to right of cancellation.

Payment and Delivery

We accept payment via Dankort card, VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron, American Express, Diners Club and wire transfer. Payments via PayPal are subject to a surcharge of 3.3% of the total amount of the order. The surcharge will not be charged until the item is shipped.

If you have ordered several items and one of the items is on back order, we will not charge you for the back-order item until it is shipped. Prices are listed in Danish kroner and do not include shipping and handling. You will select the shipping method at the end of the ordering process. We ship orders via the Danish postal service, DAO (Dansk Avisomdeling), and GLS.

Right of Cancellation

You are entitled to cancel an agreement without cause within 14 days. The right of cancellation expires 14 days from the day when you or take, or another person selected by you (other than the delivery person) takes, physical possession of the item.

If you have ordered multiple items in a single order and we are not able to deliver the items simultaneously, the right of cancellation takes effect from the moment when you take, or another person selected by you (other than the delivery person) takes, physical possession of the final item. If the right of cancellation expires on a holiday, Saturday, Constitution Day (June 5), December 24, or December 31, the expiration will be extended to the following business day.

The right of cancellation becomes null and void if you break the seal on audio and video recordings or on computer software.

How to Invoke your Right of Cancellation

To cancel your order, you will need to notify us of the cancellation. You can do this by sending an email to info@imusic.dk or by calling us at 86 13 73 43 and stating that you are canceling. You can also fill out and return the standard cancellation form sending it either by postal mail or as an email attachment to info@imusic.dk.

You cannot cancel by refusing to receive the item or by refraining from picking it up without giving notice that you are canceling. To meet the cancellation deadline, you must send your message stating that you are canceling your purchase before the cancellation deadline.

Return of Item and Cost of Return

If you have canceled a purchase, you must send us the item or deliver it to iMusic, Ryesgade 18, 1. sal, 8000 Aarhus C without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the time when you notified us of your intent to cancel. To meet the deadline, you must return the items within the 14-day deadline. Orders cannot be sent cash on delivery (COD) or without delivery.

The cost of returning an item is payable by you. The cost of returning the item depends on scope, weight, and your choice of shipping method. Items cannot be returned cash on delivery (COD), without delivery, or to a package pickup facility. Please do not use DAO; they do not deliver to business addresses.

You may cancel part of a purchase, provided that the seal on the item(s) has not been broken. The ordinary return policy (as set forth above) applies; however, iMusic will not cover or refund any postage expenses in such cases.


When you cancel, we will refund all payments received from you that are equal to the price that you paid for the item(s), as well as any applicable shipping and handling expenses. However, we will not refund shipping and handling expenses or any part thereof if you return only part of a larger order. If you have selected a delivery method that is more expensive than the least expensive delivery method that we offer, you will not receive a refund for the additional expense. We will refund the amount without undue delay and, in any circumstance, no later than 14 days from the date when we receive your cancellation notice.

However, we may retain the refund until we have received the returned items or until you have provided us with documentation that the items have been returned. We will process your return using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed by you. In any circumstance, the refund will not cause you to incur any surcharges of any kind.

Testing of Item and Packaging

You are only liable for any loss of the value of the item caused by handling of the item in a manner other than what is necessary for determining the nature and characteristics of the item and the manner in which it works. Normally, you are permitted to inspect the item in the same manner that is possible and permissible in a store, but you may not put it to use. If you have used the item in a manner that is not possible or permissible in a store and we are not able to resell it, or resell it at full price, then we reserve the right to deduct the resulting loss of value from your refund.

In addition, you should ensure that the item is packaged appropriately when returning it. You are liable for the package/items until we receive them. For this reason, save your postal receipt and any applicable tracking code.

Complaints – If Something Is Wrong with the Item

The Danish Purchasing Act applies if you purchase a defective item – e.g., it has a material defect or a manufacturing defect – or if the contents of the delivered item do not match the description of the item at the time of the order. You may file a complaint about defective items within 24 months from the time of delivery by emailing us at info@imusic.dk or by calling 86 13 73 43. In such case, we ask you to describe the nature of the problem in as much detail as possible. You are entitled to a refund if an exchange is not possible within a reasonable amount of time. If the item is being exchanged or if the order is canceled, iMusic will send out a new item and a return shipping label to cover the return of the defective item. In the case of an exchange, do not return the defective item until you have received the replacement item.

Remember that the item must be returned using proper packaging. If you choose to return the item yourself, please save the postal receipt and any applicable tracking code.

Vinyl Record Complaints (Damage from Wear and Tear)

Always contact our customer service before returning an item (REMEMBER TO HAVE THE ORDER NUMBER READY).

When purchasing a vinyl record, the complaint must be filed within a reasonable period of time after receipt of the item. We will process the complaint as quickly as possible and will send out a return shipping label if exchanging/repairing the item is deemed necessary.

To receive compensation for a defective item, the defect must have been present prior to your receipt of the item. iMusic is not liable for damage from wear and tear. Defects in the device itself must be audible. The right to complaint does not apply to cosmetic defects such as uneven records, seam splits, etc., unless the audio quality is significantly affected.

If it is determined that the right to complaint does not to apply, the customer will be liable for all shipping costs resulting from the complaint.

Official Complaint Options

You may file an official complaint about an item or a service acquired from us with the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority’s Center for Dispute Resolution, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark. Official complaints to the Center for Complaint Resolution may be filed at www.forbrug.dk.

An official complaint may also be filed via the EU Commission's online dispute resolution portal. This is particularly relevant for consumers residing in an EU country outside Denmark.
