The Trinbago Collection

The Trinbago Collection: 2005 is a collection of poems written by Nneka Edwards during that particular year. It was a significant one for her because of the passing of her father, which produced a watershed prolificacy of poetry penning. A broad range of topics and issues is covered in this soul-stirring set of poems - life and death, resilience, romance, adultery, dream homes, language learning, world cultures and more. The ups and downs of life are creatively explored with both refreshing honesty and literary skill. These poems offer a unique window into the life and thoughts of the author, which is quite rare in her later work. Many of the poems are close to their original versions (updated versions of many of them appear in books that have already been published, though most of the pieces appear for the first time in this book). The poems are dated, so that readers would have an idea of the day and time when they were written. Even though the poems are very personal, they are easy to follow and understand.
