Will has finally completed his training and has become a Ranger. The area he is given to protect seems peaceful until Lord Syron, owner of a castle up North, mysteriously falls ill. Along with his friend Alyss, Will goes on an extraordinary adventure to find out if there is truth in the rumors about a dangerous sorcerer and a traitor in Lord Syron's lands. In the middle of this chaos, Alyss is captured. Without a lot of time, Will must choose between completing his mission or rescuing his friend.
