Entrepreneurship development in Nigeria

Nigeria who happened to be the giant of Africa could not achieving any of the 8 goals from the concluded Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Therefore, this paper focused on how Sustainable Development Goals can be achieved in Nigeria through Entrepreneurship Development Programmes. From the research carried out, it was observed that Nigeria can reduce the level of poverty (Goal 1 of SDGs) if the Entrepreneurship Development Programmes is effectively carried out by the government and this will give more room for self employment. This book aimed at understanding the need for skills such as conceptual skill, human skill and technical skill amongst others are necessary for the trainees to sustain the development goals. It was deduced that insufficient infrastructures, lack of technical skills, lack of vision, lack of access to capital etc are the major problems confronting the entrepreneurship development programmes in Nigeria.
