The war against HIV/AIDS is being fought through advocacy and mobilization of all sectors of the community, resulting in the formulation and implementation of multi-sectoral HIV/AIDS response programmes. Among the intervention measures is the development and dissemination of Information, Education and Communication materials such as newspaper advertisements. Teenagers are at a high risk of HIV/AIDS infection due to the fact that they are at the experimental stage and sex is a big experience for them. This study sought to get their responses to and how they receive advertisements of HIV/AIDS in the Kenyan newspapers.
