Plc Based Automatic Bottle Filling System

Industrial application of PLC is widely appreciated. The PLC that has been used in the industrial automation process is usually to control a mechanical movement of a machine in order to improve signal processing. In this project we have designed a plant on small scale which makes a pre-defined color from three basic colors (RGB) by controlling their percentages using PLC. Two gear motors are used to control the bidirectional movement of gates which are located at outlet of the keeves containing pigment and viscous supplies. These supplies ultimately fall down in the processing mixer tank for a specified time. The mixer tank is specially designed to shake well all the supplies for a particular time to achieve the desired color with optimum parameters. The outlet of the processing mixer is dependent on the signal from IR-sensor. A gear motor controls the cyclic rotation of conveyer belt and a series of IR-sensors perform the function to fill the bottles. This whole system is also integrated with PIC Microcontroller to display the corresponding operation on LCD.
