Regional Energy Market of Caspian Sea: Implications for Europe and China

This book aims at analyzing the oil and natural gas market in Caspian Sea Region. Known as the second Persian Gulf region, the Caspian Sea is considered to be the future centre of the world energy supply. However, it is still not yet open enough to the international energy market thanks to many political reasons. At the same time, the booming development in Asia created tremendous energy demand to the world, along with economical and environmental problems. This paper will only focus on the economic part as our scope. Specifically, I carried this research toward two directions. One of which is the west Azerbaijan side, which conveys oil and gas to the European market. The other is the east Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan side, which is more close to the Asian energy market.
