It is a thing to grief at when we see hundreds of thousands of people get to die in conflict zones without no actions taken. The UN Charter in its Article 2(4) favors territorial integrity, sovereignty and the political independence of states giving limited rooms for intervention in times of mass human rights violations as was the case of Sudan and the present case of Syria. The work is of the view that, human rights are exceptionally important and must be given safeguards at all time. The security council should be restructured in way that, resolutions will be able to do more good in the lives of innocent citizens in times of gross violation of the rights of men using their chapter vii powers dictatorial regimes defile the rights of the very people entrusted in their care. Hence, the sovereignty of the state will never be important than the protection of the right of man and the dignity of the human person.
