The House of Caine Second edition

Cassius Curt is the descendant of a great race of Vampires, though he has no idea. His true history is hidden from him by his father, King Adonis, and he grows up as a human, humble farmer and son of a king. He is brother to seven sisters and twin to a brother who secretly seeks his own destiny. One day, his brother is murdered and Cassius is the blame. From there the poor monarch discovers his Vampire nature and with the help of a stranger, sets off to a new world. He finds himself in Enoch, a woodland planet with a bird-like race of people, a population of near-humans, called Nooreds, and of course, Vampires. Cassius decreed that his old life was dead. He took up a new name, Caine and made his destiny is his own as a soldier in the Great Vampire Army. Lilia Marsten is an adventurous young woman with a wild afro and soft emerald green eyes. She was raised by adopted parents who could not bear children. She had a calling for magic and spells, though in her young years it was mostly tricks and novelties. This was a time early in the planet Eden's emergence. Civilizations were not plentiful throughout the small, mostly water-based planet. That was changing. Patches of life became larger and cities grew from weeds. Lilia's best friend was the young prince chosen to be the first king. She was bequeathed to the prince of Eden City, a bright, handsome, athletic young man named Adonis. The pair loved each other regardless of promise. On the day Adonis was to be named king, she mysteriously vanished. He was distraught and did not want to go on without her. The Angelitus, a race of winged intelligent life, descended upon Eden with knowledge of life and of the galaxy they lived in. It was foretold that Adonis' actions would lead Eden into a new age. King Adonis was to be the first true king of Eden and the knowledge was for his people to grow in this fledgling young world. Marriage was necessary to be king. Lilia's parents had a second child, Eve, a few years after they adopted Lilia. Adonis was made to marry Eve. They bore nine children, two twin boys and seven girls. Lilia unknowingly found an open portal and stumbled into the far away world of Enoch. With her memory stripped from her, she finds her way through in this new, strange, inhabited world. With magic her mother taught her and the aide of a friend, Lilia navigates her new life and fall in love with the general of the Vampire army, a man named Caine. All is well, until darkness befalls the woodland planet of lavender water and purple leaves. Anger, darkness and fear enter into the marriage of Caine and Lilia. Once they discover who they are and what they are to each other, the very fabric of their relationship becomes strained. A plan is hatched to depose the king, laid by the queen herself.
