A story set in the 1920's prohibition era. Moonshine brewing runs rampant in the Appalacions and a crack squad of revenuers set out to stem the tide of illegal liquor making. The population of Hill Town takes the news as an attack on their way of life and go to great lengths to hide the evidence. A famous evangelist comes to town and holds a tent meeting. A story of love, loss, and law breaking. A policeman dies in an explosion. Two moonshiners find death at the end of a gun and a demon possessed woman finds redemption.
