How the Orange Grinch Stole Our Better Angels and Democracy

The purpose of this interpretative book is to satirize and call attention to one of the most incompetent, sociopathic, narcissistic, and racist presidents in our nation's history. Donald Trump's meanest, xenophobia, and racism takes the nation back to human rights violators, like Andrew Jackson who stole the sacred lands of the Eastern Indian tribes to enrich himself and his supporters. Today, Trump is leading a modern day "Trail of Tears" against the nonwhite population and progressives. He is inspiring white nationalists to attack Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, non-Christians (Jews and Muslims) and progressives are a record pace. Trump like the fictional "Grinch," penned by Dr. Seuss, has stolen the "Better Angels" or moral leadership that has long reigned over our exceptional nation and the world. In doing so, with his affinity to dictators, he sabotages our "rule of law" and democracy. Trump continues to deconstruct traditional institutions to undermine "one person, one vote," equality under the law, fairness for all, and social mobility. He aggressively does the previous to optimize his own self-interest, family wealth, investors and donors both foreign (Russian and Saudis) and domestic (white nationalists and fundamentalists). In contrast to the Ayn Rand/Social Darwin Gospel of Wealth promoted by Trump, the book highlights the sacrifices, works, and words of Jesus Christ. The president, in turn, offers self-dealing, chaos, white racial tribalism coded in "dog whistles," and mass violence in the place of the "Better Angels of Our Nature." Rather than unite us to uplift "the least of us," protect the environment, the future, and progress, Trump has set the nation on a course of retrenchment by ginning-up fears and conspiracies that fictionally threating the white race, their esteem status, privilege, and legacy. He and his cohorts envision a world of winners who are producers and entrepreneurs versus losers who are takers (nonwhites looking for freebees). "Greatness," to mean spirited Trump, is privy to a "master race" on parallel to Jackson, his slave owning class, and investors. He believes that if this vision is stolen by the underclass (nonwhites and allies), it must be retaken by unscrupulous means to restore America's white hegemony. This book strongly criticizes Trump's vision by highlighting what is true from what is manufactured to reinforce white supremacy. Reasonable interpretations and satire mocking the president's hyperbolic exaggerations made in his divisive speeches, interviews, and tweets is given. Unlike the fictional "Grinch" who grows a heart and is celebrated by the people of Whoville after he returns stolen gifts, Trump is seen as "doubling-down" on his "Demons" to ingratiate his wealth, alienate our allies, set-up the nation for an Atlantic City casino bankruptcy, and please our adversaries.
