"I must say it's quite good -- as both a travelogue and a polemic. The details are quite vivid, so much so that I felt I was there (I swear there were a few times where I could actually taste the food, and feel the danger). The best part is that very approach: mixing all of those elements together. I really think it's unique, and excellently so. If the author's purpose was to expand people's minds to different perspectives, then he has succeeded in a big way. Not only did it broaden my perspective, it also made me laugh out loud, scream and curse from anger, and cry from sadness. A real roller-coaster."
