This current book, My Africa in Me is an anthology of poems about the different perceptions of what happens either to people in Africa or is experienced by Africans or those connected to Africans living on other continents. The main themes are: human relations, the weather, the flora and fauna. The author explains, 'This book is not about idolizing and romanticising all that is African. No, that would be a half truth. It explores issues of death, racism, domestic abuse and effects of war. There are some love poems too as well as motivational ones too. It is about understanding how human beings instinctively are basically the same no matter who or where they come from'.
