Meela is the girl next door, pretty and kind, an only child, who grows up hoping for a new best friend; she hears the neighbors are looking to adopt a child. Ray is the dark-haired, dark-eyed, unusually over-intelligent little boy who is adopted. Within minutes, she notices there is something different about him, but she is drawn to his innocent kindness and inexplicable aura. Insisting he is from another world and only visiting Earth for a special mission, he notices his friends start turning against him. Meela will need to decide whether or not to believe him as she begins to develop strong feelings for him.
