Trok Caveman / Starman

This is the story of an advanced Cro-Magnon man, Trok. We share in his adventures, his day-to-day struggle with life and death and his rare but vital encounters with aliens. His adventures ultimately lead to the beginning of modern man's first civilization. That civilization emerged in the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. It is in this valley that archeologists have found proof of the first use of cultivation of crops and the domestication of animals.

When we first meet Trok he is a young boy, alone. A terrible fire and stampede has destroyed his clan and killed his mother and father. As the lone survivor Trok wanders for years following the herds. His survival is dependent on his skills as a hunter. Initially he can only rely on his knowledge of snares to supply him with small animals to sustain him. In time he becomes very proficient in the use of all his weapons and tools. He studies the hunting skills of predators and quickly adapts them for himself. As time passes he becomes a great hunter. Trok fights many predators but by far the most dangerous are man-eaters, the Maguann, his greatest enemy. If Trok cannot outsmart and outfight these creatures modern man may not survive on earth.

Trok's attempt to join other clans has always been met with suspicion and hostility. The warriors of the clans prove to be very territorial protecting their hunting grounds, women and children. Trok learns to avoid encounters with others of his kind for his own safety. He wanders alone for years as he longs for contact with other humans. Trok saves a young wolf dog that learns to trust him and follows him obediently. The wolf dog becomes a keen extension of his own senses. Trok first rescues a young woman from a man eating Maguann which leads to his acceptance by her clan. Trok ultimately takes two wives throughout his journey as his way of uniting clans that have been at odds for years. His lovemaking skills will ignite passion in the reader.

Trok has many encounters with aliens, the Allahine. They have chosen Trok to unite and lead various Clans in what turns out to be modern man's fight for survival. He fears that if they are not stopped the Maguann will rule the earth. The Allahine provide Trok with superior weapons and advanced strategies that will ensure his success if he survives. There are many battles with the Maguann. These encounters are vivid and exciting.

This book captures one's imagination by presenting the idea that aliens did and possibly still do visit the earth. Through Trok they attempt to insure modern man's survival. They eventually guide him to the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. It is here that they educate him in the use of agriculture and the domestication of animals. By this very act it made it possible for clans to stop following herds for their survival as hunter-gathers and instead allowed them to become people skilled in growing and producing their own food.

NOTE TO THE READER

In the dim past of pre-historic time there suddenly appeared Homo sapiens, a new species of man. Today we know this new species as Cro-Magnon man. Homo sapiens rapid appearance and his inexplicable departure from the slow evolutionary process stands today as an unsolved mystery that scholars and anthropologists have yet to resolve. Cro-Magnon does not fit into the evolutionary scale presented by Charles Darwin. In the Origin Of Species he delivered the evidence supporting his theory of the evolution of life on earth.

The first creatures that were considered manlike, advanced Australopithecus, are believed to have existed in Africa approximately two million years ago. Evolution advanced another million years before Homo erectus emerged. With the passing of another nine hundred years the first primitive man-like creature called Neanderthal appeared. With of the passage of approximately two million years between advanced Australopithecus and Neanderthal there was very little change. The tools and weapons these two groups used were virtually alike. There has been no explanation of the sudden appearance of a new race of man, Homo sapiens, a mere thirty-five thousand years ago. He appeared as if from nowhere. Shortly after the appearance of Cro-Magnon Neanderthal disappeared from the face of Earth.

Is it possible that Cro-Magnon was in fact a colonist from a distant planet who settled Earth? Possibly they were survivors from a spaceship that crashed. This theory could possibly supply some answers to many of the unresolved questions. They would have had to adapt to this new world rapidly. Perhaps search parties from the home planet were unable to find the survivors and thought they had perished. At some point in time the aliens may have returned to earth only to discover that the descendants of those colonists or survivors had adapted to Earth and were thriving.

References of the Gods who came down to earth have been found in the Book of Genesis and ancient texts from Sumerian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Hittite and Canaanite tablets. Alien spacecraft may have been visiting Earth for thousands of years observing and helping advance the development of man.
