Borderline

Daniel doesn't know how or why he is in Cincinnati. He remembers only that he was taken there in the night from Illinois and he is afraid to go back. He knows his son is dead and wanting to believe it was not by his hand, he is obsessed with learning what really happened. When he settles in the city, he eventually answers Jessica's Personal Ad. She is attracted to him immediately but to her dismay his mental problems make him a difficult companion. She cannot find the courage to sever herself from him and wants to tell him about her multiple sclerosis when the time is right. Troubling dreams bring Jessica to a psychoanalyst where she discovers another aspect of their connection. This ultimately changes her outlook on life and brings her closer to Daniel when she realizes the strength of their bond. His mental illness continues to rear its ugly head throughout their relationship, until he finally receives help with Jessica's guidance. When they realize they are destined to be together, they find the answer to the mystery of Daniel's son.
