This special collector's edition compiles Richard's two first and finest albums: Here's *'Little Richard'* (1957) and *'Little Richard'* (1958). Both LPs contain the cream of the crop from Richard's hitmaking stretch for the Specialty label during his most inspired years. In addition, this release includes 8 bonus tracks consisting of hard to find sides from the same period. On Richard's raucous early singles such as *'Ready Teddy'* , *'Slippin' and Slidin'*, *'Jenny Jenny'*, *'Rip It Up'*, and *'Long Tall Sally'* his boogiewoogie piano and falsetto scream ignited the unfettered possibilities of rock & roll. *'Tutti Frutti'* still has the most inspired rock lyric on record: *A wop bop alu bop, a wop bam boom!*
