Hun Som Kjenner Tristheten Ved Ting
Bjornstad, Ketil & Eva Bjerga Haugen
Transforming poetry and other writings into music is an important category in the immense catalogue of musician, composer and writer Ketil Bjornstad.
Most known among his works are the interpretations of Harry Martinsson, Knut Hamsun, John Donne and Edvard Munch. On 'Hun Som Kjenner Tristheten Ved Ting' Bjornstad is accompanied by the vocalist Eva Bjerga Haugen, best known as jazz vocalist and her contributions in theatre productions about Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf, but she debuted as a classical pianist herself with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) at the age of 15.
This time Bjornstad interprets the lyrics by praised author Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold and perform them together with the great talent Eva Bjerga Haugen, a perfect match. Ketil Bjornstad has made it known in many settings how much the books of Skomsvold has meant to him and was looking for many years after a suiting vocalist for this project.
