Animals Inside Your Head

This Album took close to a year to create. It is of professional sound quality with beautiful (and expensive) artwork..... and it totally rocks! A unique form of tomorrow's sound? Feeling like you got bitch-slapped by a young supermodel is probably more correct, because Crashdove's beauty is hot and bothered. Copping a multitude of classic groove influences from generations past, their vibe is edgy yet strangely familiar. The gentle intensity of Crashdove's music has a coming-of-age aura of contradiction and conflict, encompassed by the confusion of a broken innocence (or in other words, an endless puberty). So we welcome you to our growing congregation of old souls, who are ahead of their time (or who just want to rock without hurting their heads). Within a year, Crashdove's high-energy show, backed with their catchy style of rock-n-roll, has quickly established them as one of the top local rock bands in Las Vegas. They won the 2001 Fremont Street Experience Talent Showcase in May, and recently their song Tell Me was selected by Johnny Vegas Productions for an upcoming BMX Video. Animals... was recorded in 6 days and mixed in 6 months, but it has been well worth the wait. This new style of rock is hard to describe. Lyrically, it is fun then twisted; it is heavy then corny. The CD starts with the lick heavy, harmony laden Butterfly, and quickly moves into the well-spoken Free to Bleed. System and Remind, both regular songs on Laurie Steele's Homegrown show on KOMP 92.3 FM, are proving to be radio friendly. The album also includes crowd favorites So Long, the break-up song, and Tell Me, with that feeling that we've all heard it before, and the well-produced One More Chance. Together the entire work reflects a well-articulated rage and confusion, tempered with an interesting look at eccentricity and the irony that is life... and through it all, a big Crashdove smile!:-) Crashdove evolved out of a freaky hip-hop jam at the now burned down Cafe Copioh, a UNLV college hang out, and a life long love/hate musical friendship. In February 2000, lead yeller Kevin Jones' skin hitter of 10 years, Dan Marich, moved to Vegas to create a love-removal-machine (a band) with Jones, and freaky jam partners: Mike Fahy, bass player; and percussionist/vocalist turned keyboardist, Guy Campbell. With one key part missing, someone with a big mouth and the talent to fill it, the band stumbled onto Ronnie Sable, a veteran of the Jersey guitar wars. The ego puzzle is now in place (with the picture always changing), and the band's live performance is an experience never forgotten. With energy to burn, attitude to spare, and the songs to back it up, 2001 is definitely the year of the 'Dove.
