Ernest Tubb was a great benefactor to up and coming artists and helped many a young wannabe on their way to superstardom. One whose early career benefitted greatly from Tubb's friendship and sponsorship was 50s/60s hit maker Stonewall Jackson.

This new Jasmine package brings you the A and B sides of Stonewall's first 16 singles, which between them racked up 15 country Top 30 hits - some of which were the A and B sides of the same single. The timeframe is early 1957 to late 1962, but Stonewall would take that chart consistency forward for a further 11 years. Even without further hits he remained one of country's most popular figures, and was still on the Grand Ole Opry more than 60 years after he made his debut there.

All fans of uncompromisingly hard-core country will find much to enjoy in the Jasmine collection - remastered, as always, from the finest available sources.
