He Embraced rock & roll and was able to attract huge teenage audiences with hits like MA (He's Makin' Eyes At Me)

Johnny Otis was one of the most important pioneers of rhythm & blues and continued to record and broadcast throughout the rest of his life. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
