Franck - Chopin

"Finesse and fire from a starry musical duo ... A recital that showcased the very best in collaborative music-making." Those were the words of the Toronto Star after cellist Gautier Capuçon and pianist Yuja Wang, on a North American tour last spring, played at the Canadian city's Koerner Hall.

That live recital forms the basis of this recording by a musical partnership established at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. It offers two works by Chopin, his Sonata in A Major and Polonaise brillante in C Major, and Franck's Sonata in A Major, a transcription of the Belgian composer's glorious violin sonata.
