Money And Cigarettes Remastered edition

The first record Eric Clapton cut after becoming sober and first for his own Duck Records imprint, Money and Cigarettes remains an important statement of purpose in his peerless career. Not only does he revisit his blues roots with covers of Sleepy John Estes' "Everybody Oughta Make a Change," Albert King's "Crosscut Saw," and Johnny Otis' "Crazy Country Hop," he rounded out his band with a team of legends that counted Stax Records veteran bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn and Muscle Shoals drummer Roger Hawkins, as well as virtuosic guitarist Ry Cooder, among the participants. With such a phenomenal lineup, and Clapton re-inspired, it's impossible to go wrong with this 1983 classic.
