Arirang / Crocodile

Collection of two films directed by Kim Ki-duk. In the documentary 'Arirang' (2011), Ki-duk has become reclusive due to a near-fatal accident suffered by a young actress during the shooting of his last film. This film, shot entirely by the director himself as a way of recording the mindset and ongoing experience of this critical time in his life, gives a candid insight into the mind of the young man regarded as one of Korea's most esteemed movie directors.

'Crocodile' (1996), a drama, revolves around a homeless man living next to the Han River in Seoul with a boy and an old man. Noticing a young woman (Ahn Jae-hong) trying to commit suicide in the river, 'Crocodile' (Jo Jae-hyeon) saves her life. However, after this heroic act he proceeds to rape and abuse the woman, but she continues living with him and a relationship progresses between the four people.
