Beethoven: Triple Concerto & Choral Fantasy

Conductor Laurence Equilbey appreciates the unconventional nature of Beethoven's Choral Fantasy and Triple Concerto. "It gives them a special place in Beethoven's output and in musical history as a whole," she explains. This album reflects their fusion of genres by uniting the period instruments of Equilbey's Insula orchestra with soloists best known for playing modern instruments: pianists Bertrand Chamayou and David Kadouch, violinist Alexandra Conunova and cellist Natalie Clein.
