BIRDSONG, a Sebastian Faulks's novel, about one man's intense experience of the extremes of both love and war. BIRDSONG follows an English soldier (Eddie Redmayne) fighting in the trenches of northern France, when he is haunted by the memories of his forbidden love affair with a French woman (Clemence Poesy).
